Suite for soprano, viola, cello and English horn.  

Text based on selections from Eduardo Galeano's El Siglo del Viento (Century of the Wind).

This is the third piece of the suite, Sarabande (Coplas tristes).

QUEEN OF THE NIGHT (2001)

Opera in two acts, based on an Arthur Schnitzler story.

The Baron's ardor for a rising soprano is not returned, although she charmingly accepts his gifts after her performances. His aria ends the first scene of Act One.
